The small town of Mechernich is the gateway to the Eifel National Park and offers you everything you expect around your vacation: numerous leisure activities with good public transport connections, gastronomy, shopping facilities as well as pure relaxation.
Our home, in which we have set up the vacation apartment in the basement, is located in a quiet residential area at the end of a dead-end street directly on the edge of the forest but still central with about 5 minutes walk to the town center.
Our region offers a wide variety of leisure activities. Here is a small overview:

- Swimming and wellness: Eifel-Therme Zikkurat, Thermen- und Badewelt Euskirchen

- Museums: Mining Museum Mechernich, Tuchfabrik Müller Euskirchen, LVR Open-Air Museum Kommern, Nature Conservation Centre Nettersheim, Museum of Bathing Culture Zülpich
